Curated design is a wonderful, layered process. Mixing styles, yet coordinating textures and finishes in a complementary and cohesive format. It's a journey of discovery and seeking out hidden gems... stalking auction sites and rummaging through antique shops. It takes time and an eye for not knowing exactly what is going to work until you suddenly see it. It's 'aha' moments and trial and error.

These two pieces are from different time period's yet carry the same design features. Petite in size, exqusite in execution, curved detail, slim elongated support and warm tones. Each piece was designed for function and beautifully formed. A perfect pair.

The window treatment fabric carried the warm red present in the chair and blue notes of the wall colour for a curated and considered finish.

My clients where able to style this area and provided home from home comforts and facilities for their guests. It turned a small corner into something special and useful.

Please see THE WONKY HOUSE ROCHESTER for more details.
